Massive brown granite vertical wall of half Dome with a ledge of trees perched halfway up the face as the sun streaks through. Hiking up the Mirror Lake loop in Yosemite Valley and stopping at a stream of clean water we look up and see the sun illuminating a remarkable grove of trees standing guard halfway up this remarkable stone face of granite.
